Hola Espana! We are clearly not in Spain. We are still in the Philippines ladies and gents but doesn’t everyone agree with me? Calle Crisologo really has that “Espanya Feels”. It is not only an instagrammable place but it is more than meets the eye. It holds a lot of memories and history.
The colonization of Spain is evident in Calle Crisologo. It is noticeable with the architecture of the houses and establishments down to the small details like the brick roads and what not. This marvelous place is considered a UNESCO world heritage site. It is lined up with heritage houses in that five block street.
Did you know that Calle Crisologo was called Calle de Escolta de Vigan during Spanish Colonial Times? The area also restricts vehicles to enter but only Calesas are allowed to maintain that Spanish Era vibe.
Clearly, Calle Crisologo is that cherry on top of our Ilocos tour. They literally saved the best for last. That sums up my Ilocos experience. Hope you enjoyed and had an idea on what places to go. Book that tour or make your own tour. Visit the place! I highly recommend it. Also, upcoming blog would contain our itinerary and will attach a youtube link edited by yours truly to have a glimpse of the mesmerizing Ilocos.
